The purpose of this is to remind the future me to persevere. To remember that you hated being stuck on your bottom in an office for 8 hours a day, even though they did buy you a standing desk. You felt trapped, fatigued, lazy and annoyed. You committed the best part of your day staring at a computer, and the best part of your life staring up the career ladder, all to the benefit of the bodiless business of the University of Liverpool.
Today is International women’s day, and today is the day I decided to work for my future self. You are going to make a great yoga teacher, you are going to India to spend a few weeks discovering what you need to do now, to make the future you secure, happy and healthy.
The reason I got a day job was because I didn’t want to flat share anymore, because I wanted to be able to afford to eat a lot of Marks and Spencer’s food, and, to buy a camper van. But working full time is a massive sacrifice of your time, which is my most precious…
So there was no time to galavant in the van, and M&S can sod off now I grow my own (not that I have time to spend at my allotment like)
Now is high time to make some new goals, im taking my savings and going to meditate on what gift I am going to give my future self.
